Production Calendar - Semi-Final Edition

Hey there, everybody -

Posted below is a link for the calendar for the rest of the show process.  As with every other calendar or schedule, it is as set in stone as we can make it...but stuff happens.  We have a challenging, complex show, and we are a bit behind in some ways, but I have every confidence we are getting things rolling strong!

PRODUCTION CALENDAR

A couple of things to note:

1) There are three general types of rehearsals leading up to Sitzprobe: Blocking, Choreo, and Music.  Blocking means working with me on staging that doesn't include fight or choreo...we'll stage around it; Choreo means working on the fight and big, stylized movement numbers with Jacquelle...and while we do, the Chorus group will work on music with Chrisse and individuals who we're not using on some of the blocking pieces; Music (and there's only a couple of those left!) will be as they have been.

2) Blocking calls have a code with the Act and Scene listing.  After the calendar is a key to what those codes mean, and what characters are in there.  Plan on being at those rehearsals if that includes you...and ask questions if you're not sure.

3) There are some TBD dates on the calendar...those are tech dates and do not involve actors.  There is also an event on 4/21 that I'll be sharing with people that'll be asked to do it...won't involve everyone.  Those don't count in the mandatory dates that start with Sitzprobe on April 26...but start planning ahead, as its not too far off, that whole stretch run thing!

See you tomorrow!

New Track added! #21 replaced

 Dear Thieves,

I have re-recorded chorus parts for #21 - Last Days of Summer.  It is now broken into 3 parts, H, M, L, instead of just 2.   It's not difficult and I've seen now that we have the voices to do that.  This one's easy peasy.

New Track Added - #6 for Clarisse

Um. So.  I added a new practice track for Clarisse for #6 for the melody.  That is all.

Monday, April 1, 2024

Thanks for your great work in rehearsal today!  I am much encouraged.  I'm sorry the parts are so weirdly delineated.   Trust what's on the mp3s - but question them if it one gets too weird.  I was getting pretty punchy toward the end there! - and don't worry about what line what note is on.  I know that will be hard for those of you who read music!  Use your ears more than your eyes.

We'll hit the rest of the show tomorrow and thereby have given ourselves a great base from which to proceed with staging.  Be sure to review your music every day.  You'll need to be super solid in the music when the choreo and blocking start in order to begin to integrate all of it.

Meanwhile, I'll be around to give whatever help any of you need.  Do be shy about asking for help.  That's why I get the big bucks!
